Camp Misty Ridge
The Camp Misty Ridge Series is special.
The stories are written for older children who are new to the adventure of reading. These children need the dignity of text that appeals to them while being sure they do not miss important developmental steps in
reading. The storyline follows a group of pre-teens and their outdoor
adventures.
The first title, Anne and Jill Go to Camp, begins with the basic phonics code
(short vowel sounds) and some high-frequency words. Text becomes progressively
more complex as additional phonemic/spelling patterns are added with each
